How do I qualify for free shipping?
After any promotions and discounts are applied, all orders in the U.S. totaling over $40 qualify for free shipping.
Where do you ship to?
We ship anywhere within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. We also ship to APO/FPO addresses—after all, we can’t forget about our military families and federal workers overseas, especially when Juliana is a service member and knows all about the joys of receiving packages from afar!
What shipping methods do you offer?
Our standard shipping is a flat rate of $7 and takes 2-8 business days to reach its destination. For an additional fee, we also offer 2-day shipping within the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses are only eligible for free shipping and standard shipping, but not 2-day shipping.
When will my order ship?
We process and ship out orders every Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders with standard shipping are typically fulfilled and shipped the next business day with tracking information provided. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, orders may take longer than usual to ship, and we appreciate your patience.
Where do orders ship from?
All our orders ship from Southern California.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee—we love and believe in our products, and we want you to be completely happy with your purchase! If you’re not satisfied with our products for any reason, please email support@happy2ndbirthday.com for a refund within 30 days of the purchase date. Please note that original and return shipping fees are non-refundable.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We all make mistakes. If you’ve made an error when placing your order, please send an email to support@happy2ndbirthday.com within 10 minutes and we’ll do our best to cancel it. Unfortunately, if you reach out after that 10-minute window has closed, the order will have already been automatically sent to our warehouse for processing, and we’ll be unable to make any changes.
My order arrived damaged, missing an item, or with an incorrect item. What now?
That’s no fun! Within 7 days of delivery, please email support@happy2ndbirthday.com with a photo of the packing slip, contents, and any damage, and we’ll take care of you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not at this time, but we will in the near future!
Do you offer any discounts or promotional codes?
We offer a discount of 15% off your first order when you sign up for our mailing list. Fun fact: this mailing list is one of the good ones—we promise not to overwhelm you with too much content (and the stuff we do send out is *chef’s kiss* primo). The newsletter is also the best way to learn about special promotions and our latest launches.
Can I use multiple promo codes at a time?
While we also love the show Extreme Couponing, our website only allows for the use of one promo code per order. Promo codes cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
We care so much about what goes into our products and ensuring that they’re safe for everyone, including our friends in the animal kingdom. To that end, all of our products are 100% vegan and do not use any animal-derived ingredients. We are also Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free. We do not test on animals, nor will we ever, ever do so.
Where are your products made?
Our Calming Creamy Cleanser, Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer, and Ultra-Hydrating Body Butter are developed, manufactured, and bottled in the United States. Our Hydrating Pre+Probiotic Facial Mist and Vegan Lip Butter Balm are developed, manufactured, and filled in South Korea.
Do your products have expiration dates?
Oh, heck yes they do, and here’s the real deal: folks often act like skin care products last for many years, but just like you wouldn’t eat food that’s well past its expiration date, the stuff you put on your skin—which gets absorbed into your body—expires, too. Take a look at the packaging of any product you have at home: they all have a period-after-opening (PAO) date printed on the packaging. Our products have a shelf-life of 2 to 3 years depending on the product, and we guarantee that no product is sold if it’s within 6 months of expiry. The open can symbol with a number indicates the number of months in which we recommend using the product once opened for peak efficacy.
Are your products safe if I’m pregnant and/or nursing?
Yes, we specifically designed all of our products to be safe for pregnant and/or nursing mothers. However, we recommend that you check with your doctor before using any new products while pregnant or nursing (not just ours).
Can I recycle your packaging?
We care about sustainability and our environmental impact, and work to ensure that our packaging is recyclable in every region possible. However, because recycling programs vary state by state and even community by community, we can’t 100% guarantee that our packaging is recyclable where you live. If you’re unsure what the guidelines are in your area, we recommend looking up your local ordinances.
Why is your brand called Happy 2nd Birthday?
After struggling with lymphoma for many years, our father had a bone marrow transplant, which offered hope for a new beginning. The day of the transplant was so momentous for our family, it felt like our dad had been given a “second birthday.” Our dad is the inspiration behind our brand, but the name also serves as a reminder to celebrate every member of our community who has been given a second chance at life.
Do you donate or partner with cancer charities and organizations?
How could we not? Going through this experience as a family has made us so grateful to so many individuals and organizations, there’s no way we couldn’t give back. We donate 10% of our profits to select charities focused on cancer research and mental health.
